Various initiatives will take place under SEBA, including development of Startup Vision Document and a Coffee Table Book, which aim to document and provide relevant information and insights about entrepreneurship in Uttarakhand. Central to these efforts will be the State Level Incubator Manager Development Programmes, strategically designed to identify and nurture emerging startups while fostering a robust network of mentors. The Technology Business Incubator at EDII will play a significant role in the establishment of Business Incubators on select campuses aims, to provide aspiring innovators with the necessary support and guidance for transforming their business plans to enterprise. These incubators will serve as catalysts for growth, equipping entrepreneurs with essential skills and resources to thrive in Uttarakhand's entrepreneurial landscape.
To initiate this intervention, a consultative workshop was organised at Nityanand Himalayan Study and Research Centre, Doon University, Dehradun on 13th September 2023. The objective was to brainstorm and discuss the action plan of Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana with the officials of Govt. of Uttarakhand and representatives of academic institutions. Various dignitaries were present during this event, including Dr. Deepak Pandey, Assistant Director, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Uttarakhand; Mr. Govind Pathak, Assistant Director, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Uttarakhand; Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India(EDII), Dr. Amit Kumar Dwivedi, Programme Director – DUY, along with academicians, representatives from the private sector and relevant officials.
The workshop focused on providing an overview of EDII's support to various groups, including youth, startups, MSMEs, women, marginalized communities, and differently-abled individuals in their entrepreneurial journey. Also, a detailed plan for the Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojna was shared, with participants providing valuable feedback and highlighting potential opportunities in Uttarakhand.
